Local community

The community is an important stakeholder at Bluewater and we have worked hard to be a good neighbour.

We take pride in the partnerships we have developed and look forward to a long relationship with our local community.

Our Mission Statement is: "To proactively integrate Bluewater and the community by being sensitive to particular needs and supporting community development"

Community Forum

The Community Forum was developed at Bluewater before construction began, to share views and concerns with our neighbours. Representatives from Residents Associations and local groups, including the Racial Equality Council, Council for Voluntary Service, Police etc., became involved in this two-way dialogue and we all helped each other to understand many issues around the development of Bluewater.

These forums have continued since opening with bi-monthly meetings being held in the Community Room at Bluewater. The group has realised that together they are in a good position to develop a network of communication across the community, finding out about, informing and sometimes influencing, on behalf of residents, developments in the wider area of Kent Thameside, just as they did with Bluewater.
