Bluewater Apprenticeship Scheme Following the successful launch of the Bluewater Apprenticeship Scheme in 2009, we recruited 7 new apprentices for 2010.
Kelly, Jordan, Vicky, Rikesh, Rachel, Fiona and Jake are based at the Bluewater Learning Shop. Apprentices gain the skills and experience vital to a career in retail and benefit from a retail placements, classroom and work based training to achieve Retail Skills QCF and Retail Knowledge the Technical certificate of the apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship will provide an insight into every aspect of running a successful retail business, spending time working with a retailer and being part of the Bluewater management team.

The National Skills Academy for Retail, a Government backed network of training centres was designed to increase productivity and opportunity in the sector.
Located at Bluewater in Kent, it is the only centre of its kind in the North Kent region. Working in partnership with stakeholders, Lend Lease, North West Kent College and Job Centre Plus. Working closely with Connexions, Employ Kent Thameside and many other agencies. Brokering over 22,000 jobs and 12,000 training solutions during the last eleven years has led to the Learning Shop becoming an integral part of employers business practise.
With an established recruitment brand, the Learning Shop is the provider of choice for local people to job search for retail, hospitality and customer service roles at Bluewater shopping centre. Over 4000 people visit us each month for advice and guidance with their career aspirations and to discuss available opportunities.
