The Learning Shop at Bluewater was created by North West Kent College, the local job centre and Lend Lease. It was set up to act as a simple and efficient way for retailers to find staff and also acts as a resource for local people. All local job vacancies are advertised on-site and they provide a wide range of courses to develop the skills base in the area.
On 16th March Bluewater will be the first in the UK to launch The Retail Academy at our Learning Shop. The Retail Academy is part of the National Skills Academy’s programme to help provide training and skills for new and existing people in the retail industry.
After the initial launch at Bluewater, the programme will later be introduced nationwide.
