The Learning Shop at Bluewater was created by North West Kent College, the local job centre (Job Centre Plus) and Lend Lease. It was set up to act as a simple and efficient way for retailers to find staff, provide training opportunities and act as a resource for the local community. Local job vacancies are advertised on-site, a wide range of courses are available to develop the skills base in the local area.
On 16th March Bluewater was the first in the UK to launch The National Skills Academy for Retail at the Learning Shop. The NSA for Retail programs offers a wide range of training from Pre-Employment to Foundation degree in the retail sector.
After the initial launch at Bluewater, the program will later be introduced nationwide
