Bluewater works hard in protecting the environment and the diverse habitat in and around the centre. It has always supported local projects and to mark its 10th Anniversary, it is only natural that Bluewater would be involved in exciting environmental programmes. 

The Earthwatch Bluewater Student Fellowship Programme is an international charity committed to solving critical environmental issues of our time. The charity works with people from all walks of life to gather vital environmental data on over 120 research expeditions around the world. Bluewater has set up a student fellowship programme with Earthwatch to give local school children the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s leading scientists during a two-week expedition at home and abroad. As part of their award, the programme will continue beyond the expedition and the students will be able to set up an environmental project in their local community with the help of a grant from Bluewater and support from Earthwatch staff.
