As Bluewater celebrates its 10th Birthday John Lewis is embarking on an exciting and ambitious project, transforming the shop and making it one of the largest department stores outside London. The project involves substantial refurbishment throughout the shop and will include a new floor.
As part of the investment, there’ll be a new John Lewis Foodhall from Waitrose, which opened in August 2009. Managing Director Simon Russell, says of the news: “we are very pleased that we’ll be able to offer our customers a greatly improved shop and a Foodhall - a decade after the shop opened in 1999. It’s an exciting project for everyone involved at the branch and we’re confident that customers at John Lewis Bluewater will really appreciate the enhanced shopping experience.”
A John Lewis Foodhall from Waitrose will be in the basement. Alongside the convenience of shopping for everyday groceries, you’ll find specialist counters, including: bakery, patisserie, cheese, charcuterie and wine.
